Addiction Cat Food Review
If you want to put your cat on a grain free diet but can’t find a dry food they like, you owe it to yourself and cat to give Addiction Cat Food a try. I have yet to find a cat food reviewthat is 100% honest about the lack of appeal hypoallergenic, grain free diets have for cats that are accustomed to starchy, cheap cat food.
Addiction Cat Food is Grain-Free
Yesterday, I picked up a bag of Addiction Dry Cat Food Venison Flavor for both of my cats. As explained in the previous cat food review, my cat Carson, suffers from a digestive problem (possibly IBD) and I’ve been trying a limited diet for the last 5 weeks. Neither of my cats has been too crazy about the Natural Balance Duck and Pea Limited Diet dry cat food formula. My healthy cat will tolerate the canned venison, but really doesn’t eat much dry food anymore, since making the switch from the IAMS, high grain junk food diet she is accustomed to. I was happy to find Addiction Cat Fooddry variety with a non-standard protein source like Venison, in order to alleviate potential food allergies or sensitivities of other meat sources. I suspected my cat might have sensitivity towards either chicken or fish because too much of either of those foods tends to give him very bad diarrhea when he eats them. So far, the Natural Balance Duck Dry Food and Venison canned has not given him diarrhea – he just doesn’t eat enough of it. So, I was hoping to find another limited diet, grain-free dry food brand that would not only be tolerable to his digestion but desirable enough that he would eat plenty of it and get his weight back up. I was pleasantly surprised to find a dry food brand that is based on Venison. I had never heard of Addiction Cat Food until yesterday. The other pleasant surprise was discovering that Addiction cat food comes in a wide variety of canned, alternative meat flavors; i.e. Duck, Rabbit, and Venison. I picked up a number of canned Addiction Cat Food to go with the 4lb bag of dry.
Addiction Cat Food Pricing
Expect to pay around $17.00 for a 4lb bag of dry Addiction Cat Food or $2.00 for a 5.5oz can at your local pet store. Addiction cat food is not a cheap cat food, but I figured if both cats like it, I’d feel good about paying more for it. Before leaving for the pest store, I read a very favorable Cat Food Review on Addiction and how well one’s cats liked it. So, how well do my cats like Addiction Cat Food?
Addiction Cat Food Review: Taste Test
I tore up the 4lb bag of cat food and poured a little bit of the kibble into my hand. The cats followed me closely, as I walked over to the cat bowls. I placed a couple of the kibbles on the floor and watched both cats devour it very quickly. I repeated with a few more kibbles and the cats devoured it again. Up to this point, this was by far the most positive reaction from my cats I have ever gotten from a new cat food. I poured a little bit into each of the bowls and the cats finished it off. Addiction Cat Food , so far has been a big success. I don’t want to introduce too many new cat foods all at once, so I decided to hold off on the canned cat food for a while. I’ll report back on the results of the addiction canned cat food taste tests in a later cat food review.
